Port Hueneme Afternoon Private Collection

This painting was from a photo reference of my collection while living in Ventura county. I took many photos of this beach in particular, in Port Hueneme located a block from our home. The color of the sky and how it reflected upon the sand made me want to paint it. The cast shadows from the dunes had so many colors bouncing around in it.
