Sunshine Breeze

Sunshine Breeze is my favorite coastal oil painting. In the furthest part of Northern California, lies a perfect beach called Tolowa Dunes. The beaches are pristine and are covered with soft, flowing beach grasses. In this painting, I worked on a more rendered, realistic style than my more current work, which is very impressionist. I learned to paint this way first and found that it is very tedious but-this style really works on the grasses to create a soft, feathery look.
